7 Benefits of MSM – The Miracle Supplement

  1. I am taking two supplements that have MSM one has 250mg and on me has 3000 mg MSM is this too much MSM. I take 2 of each capsule. The first one 3 times a day and the second twice a day. I recently stated taking the 3000mg 1 , 2x a day because it seems to raise my blood sugar. Levels and I already have a problem with that. Now , a friend bought another supplement for me with 200mg of MSM in it. He said it would help my hair grow. How much is too much MSM? I am taking the 1st 2 supplements with MSM for pain/ spine and shoulder injuries. Although I have gallstones, rib injuries too. I don’t want to over do this MSM.

    1. Hey Desiree! I would start by taking just the 250mg 2-3 times per day. If you feel alright with that (no GI discomfort or nausea) I would take the 3,000mg once per day with some lemon water in the morning. Combining MSM with vitamin from citrus fruits can help with its absorption and give you the results you’re looking for!

  2. Hi,
    I have been taking MSM for a whole year now I don’t feel any different from before. I started with 1tablet and now take 2 of 1.200 mg. each. If anything I’m more constipated then every before which always been my problem. So far I have not noticed an improvement in my hair or nails and I’m near the end of 330 capsules .
    Should I continue. I wanted to take this MSM because of my osteoporosis so I hope there is some improvement to my bones .

    I am concerned MSM will give me gases , bloating and digestive discomfort due to its sulfur compound. I have a very sensitive digestive system. What do you have to tell me about it?

  4. MSM is made from DMSO. I have read it helps normalize circulation in people with difficulties walking due to circulation problems with regular use. Will the msm cream which also contains collagen and chondroitin if applied regularly to legs give the same healing effects? Thanks

  5. I’ve had lower back pain upon waking for years. I tried different mattresses with little improvement. Finally I went to my therapist and he suggested I take something like alieve at night to slow the inflammation happening in my spine at night.
    I’m not a fan of pain relieves, and as it happened I stumbled on your site.
    I had studied DMSO several years ago to help my mom with her arthritis, and remembered the MSM link.
    The short version of this story is that the wife bought some Walmart MSM for me and I take 2-1000mg pills a day.
    One in the am and one between dinner and bed time.
    The difference is amazing.
    No more hobbling to the bathroom at 3 am. I can get up and walk quite normal.
    The rest of the day is a pleasure to live through!
