Ahhh mirror neurons! We talk about mirror neurons at work all the time! Brain science is really important to us in our work with our students and within our organization where effective communication is essential. It’s also really important in helping students to feel empowered to understand why they may process information or behave in the way they do AND to understand the plasticity of the brain and that you can literally change your mind biologically with consistently different thought patterns. Amazing–you both should read the Science of Happiness by Stephen Lehmann and the Owner’s Manual for the Brain by Pierce Howard if you haven’t! Nobody outside of the office ever knows what I’m talking about when I refer to mirror neurons–I always feel like such a science geek when they don’t–so glad to stumble upon this conversation!
You are 100% right! And thank you for those recommended readings… I’m all over them! Make sure to look into Daniel Goleman, who I mentioned in the video. Author of several books and has some fascinating videos on youtube. I LOVE your perspective on these things.
that’s so cool. i just got done listening to matt monarch and daniel vitalis sharing knowledge and colostrum was part of it. then shortly after i come here and bam you’re talking about it, too!
i keep seeing you use that honey that looks thick, can you share what kind or brand or where to get it?
thanks Shawn, best health to you!
Hey Seth. The brand of honey featured in the video is Y.S. Organic Bee Farm. I think they are sold nation wide. I really like to get local honey when I get out to Farmer’s Markets, but this is a nice brand that I’ve been using for many years.
I love the synchronicity you had with the colostrum being mentioned in the two recordings. You know, this video was shot 2 months ago, and to come out on the same day for you is probably telling you that it may be the next food to try!
i hear you on both accounts, the local honey (to adapt to local vegetations and pollens and such) and the colostrum message as well!
i had another great synchronicity today friday while talking deep subjects with my bro in law, i got the key to quantum and was looking up something and i landed on your recommended websites, and noticed the noetic sciences shift in action site. moments prior, before the talks, i saw a video shared on facebook talking about mirror neurons, which i remembered i thought i first learned from you. so there was the reticular cortex and mirror neurons and syncronicities it felt like things were lining up. i was enjoying that. we were also talking about differences in sugars such as long chain vs short chain, and pondering about salts having differences and similiar properties such as long chain or time release vs short term.
thank you for sharing the brand of honey with me.
Brilliant Seth, I think you are on to something with the differences in salts.
And the SIA (Shift In Action) site, also known as the Institute of Noetic Sciences is an amazing organization. I’ve been a member for several years and can’t say enough great things about the job they are doing.
